How to book your accommodation
Students under the age of 18 must arrange their accommodation through the Centre. You will receive an invitation to apply for our accommodation when you confirm your place. If you request accommodation when you apply for the International Study Centre, the Central Student Support team will contact you with the latest information on available accommodation and fees.
Arranging your own accommodation privately
If you are booking your own accommodation privately it is important that you let us know where you are staying and that you are staying less than 60 minutes away from the University of Sussex International Study Centre.
Look out for fraud
Scammers may specifically target international students so it is important to be able to recognise common signs of fraudulent activity and know what to do if you come across it. Let us know at fraudreporting@studygroup.com if you have any concerns about fraudulent activity when dealing with a private accommodation provider so that we can help to protect you and other international students in case they are targeted in the same way.
Useful information
- Before you arrive, make sure you've arranged your accommodation in the UK. This will ensure that there are no difficulties with confirming your course at immigration, and that you have a place to live. The Central Student Support team can answer any questions you have about our accommodation options and what to pack.
- Check where and when to collect your room keys. Key collection details are outlined in your room offer.
Arrange your room
We recommend contacting the student support team before sourcing your accommodation, please contact SussexISC.CSS@Studygroup.com to enquire about our currently available accommodation options.
I'm living in university accommodation and my flatmate is really familiar and friendly. So I really like to have conversations with my flatmate, and sometimes we are studying together and can share our opinions. Also we share the same culture, so it is really nice.
